This privacy policy explains how Dr Rajeev Agarwal (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles the personal information you share through this website. We are committed to protecting your privacy and to handling your information in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the medical confidentiality obligations that apply to our practice.
On this page
By using this website or submitting an enquiry form, you agree to the practices described below. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the forms on this site — you are always welcome to contact the clinic by phone instead.
Information we collect
We only collect what we need in order to respond to you:
- Information you give us. When you submit an appointment or contact form, we collect your name, phone number, email address (if you provide one) and the contents of your message.
- Consent record. We record that you ticked the consent box, so that we can demonstrate you agreed to be contacted.
- Technical information. Your IP address, the page you submitted the form from, the page you first landed on and the website or campaign that referred you. This helps us understand which of our pages are useful and detect automated spam.
- Analytics data. Standard, aggregated usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser — collected through cookies, as described below.
Please do not send clinical details, reports or images through the website forms. The forms are for requesting an appointment or a call back. Medical information should be shared directly with the clinic, where it is handled under the confidentiality rules that govern patient records.
How we use your information
We use the information you provide to:
- respond to your enquiry and arrange an appointment or call back;
- answer questions you have asked us about our services;
- keep a record of enquiries so that our team can follow up accurately;
- maintain the security of the website and prevent spam and fraudulent submissions;
- understand how visitors use the site so that we can improve it.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers. We will not send you marketing messages unrelated to your enquiry.
Consent and your choices
We process the personal data you submit on the basis of the consent you give when you tick the consent box on a form. That consent covers contacting you about the enquiry you have made.
You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us at [email protected]. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did while the consent was valid, and we may still need to keep a limited record of your enquiry where the law requires it.
Who we share information with
Access to enquiry data is limited to the doctor and the clinic staff who need it to respond to you. Beyond that, information may be shared only with:
- Service providers who operate this website and our email on our behalf — our web hosting provider and our email provider. They process data only on our instructions.
- The hospital where your consultation or treatment takes place, where that is necessary to arrange your appointment.
- Authorities, where we are required to disclose information by law, by a court, or to protect the safety of a person.
Some of our providers may store data on servers outside India. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information continues to receive an appropriate level of protection.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses cookies — small files stored by your browser — for two purposes:
- Necessary cookies, which keep the site working: a session cookie, and a cookie that remembers how you first arrived at the site so an enquiry can be attributed correctly. This attribution cookie lasts 90 days.
- Analytics cookies, which help us count visits and understand which pages are read. These report in aggregate and are not used to identify you personally.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. The site will continue to work, though the forms may behave less predictably.
This site is protected by Google reCAPTCHA to keep out automated spam. Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply to that service. Some pages embed videos from YouTube; YouTube sets its own cookies when a video is played.
How we protect your information
The website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, enquiry data is stored in a database that is not publicly accessible, and administrative access is password protected and limited to authorised staff.
No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. While we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security, and you share information with us on that understanding.
How long we keep it
We keep website enquiries for as long as needed to deal with your request and to maintain a reasonable record of our correspondence — normally up to three years from your last contact with us — after which they are deleted.
Clinical records created in the course of your treatment are held separately, by the hospital, under the retention rules that apply to medical records.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you have the right to:
- ask what personal data of yours we hold and how it is being used;
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, or complete information that is incomplete;
- ask us to erase personal data we no longer need;
- withdraw the consent you have given;
- nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf if you are unable to;
- raise a grievance with us, and escalate it to the Data Protection Board of India if you are not satisfied with our response.
To exercise any of these rights, write to us using the details at the end of this page. We may need to verify your identity before we act on a request, and we will respond within a reasonable period.
Children
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 through it. Where an appointment is being arranged for a child, we expect the form to be submitted by a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other websites
Our pages may link to hospital websites, medical journals, professional bodies and similar third-party sites. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit from here.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The current version is always published on this page, and the date it was last updated is shown at the top.
